The Business of Social Work Graduate Certificate is 12 semester hours (4 courses) of coursework that would be eligible to meet requirements for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program should a student wish to pursue it. SWK 507, SWK 508 are in the core curriculum and the remaining courses: SWK 512 and SWK 514 would meet electives for the MSW. The graduate certificate will equip students with knowledge and skills that will enable them to be successful in starting a non-profit, assuming a leadership role in a non-profit or establishing a private practice upon earning their license as a clinical social worker.
