GDRS 500 - Gender Theory

This course is an interdisciplinary introduction to a variety of theoretical approaches to gender and sexuality studies, including feminist theories and queer theories. It explores feminist ideas and debates concerning the intersection of race, class, gender, and sexuality. This course provides the methodological framework for further work in Gender Studies by introducing students to the ways in which gender scholars utilize theory to systematically analyze how the world works and how gender and sexuality impact and are impacted by political, social, and economic social structures in the United States and globally.
