General Business B.B.A.
The B.B.A. with a major in general business is intended to provide the student with a broad based business program. The program's curriculum is composed of a broad spectrum of courses offered by the various departments withing the College of Business. A major in general business would prepare the student for a wide variety of employment options in business, industry and government. Graduates can assume entry-level management or management trainee positions in marketing, finance, real estate, insurance, retailing, and wholesaling, as well as positions in government or hospital administration. In addition to the common body of knowledge in business competencies, majors in general business will demonstrate competencies in insurance concepts, writing, legal organizations, and human resource management.
In addition to the completion of the Core Curriculum Requirements and the Business Core courses (see lower and upper division courses required of all business majors in the College of Business), students must complete required courses in the major:
